REHAU RAISES THE STANDARD WITH BIOCOTE TECHNOLOGY

REHAU has joined forces with antimicrobial specialists BioCote to introduce an innovative range of cable management systems that are set to raise the bar for hygiene critical environments like schools and hospitals.

The company’s PROFILA data and COMPACT data cable management ranges now feature BioCote’s unique silver ion technology, which is independently proven to reduce levels of harmful bacteria like MRSA, E.coli and Salmonella on surfaces by up to 99.99%.

BioCote technology can be adopted at the manufacturing stage, providing built-in protection against harmful microbes for the expected lifetime of the product. Utilising the power of silver ions, the technology binds with the bacteria to disrupt their normal functioning so they are unable to reproduce and die. This dramatically reduces the risk the cross contamination, particularly in environments like hospitals, schools and offices, which can be breeding grounds for deadly bacteria. Protecting against microbial organisms also helps reduce product deterioration, discolouration and bad odours.
