GLEEDS STAFF CELEBRATE AWARDS SUCCESS

Four members of staff from International Management and Construction Consultancy, Gleeds have successfully gained a nationally recognised qualification from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).

Matthew Hill, Heather Makin and Philip Marsden, Quantity Surveyors from Gleeds’ Leeds office, and Nicola Palmer from Gleeds’ Nottingham office achieved the ILM Level 3 Award in Management after undertaking 12 months of structured study. The programme is being managed by Insight Management Solutions, an accredited ILM centre. Gleeds offers a wide range of training opportunities which staff at all levels may access. These programmes focus on the aspects of management which are specifically linked to their organisation and are tailored to match Gleeds’ culture and priorities.

The ILM qualifications offer an enhancement of this existing training. All ILM qualifications combine classroom activity with assignments which assess students understanding and application of learning. The qualifications are structured around ‘Learning Units’ or modules, and in order to progress to the next module the students must complete a certain number of ‘learning hours’. Insight Management Solutions structures these hours to include preparation activities, workshops and follow up activity in order to integrate their learning into the workplace.

In a ceremony held at Gleeds, Stuart Senior, Managing Partner for Nottingham region presented the successful members of staff with their Awards. He said, “Gleeds offers its’ staff a terrific array of training opportunities and I am delighted that Matthew, Heather, Philip and Nicola have taken the initiative and completed their ILM Level 3 Award in Management. I look forward to presenting more of these qualifications in the coming months”.
